Born to Succeed Looking for Preschool Co-Teacher at BOISE, ID Full Time

Born to Succeed Early Care and Education Center provides early care and education for children ages 8 weeks to 12 years. We currently have A Full Time Co-Teacher Position in our Toddler classroom for children 13-23 months. Hours for this position are based on a 4 day/week/ 9- or 10-hour days on Monday-Friday with one day off for personal care and/or appointments.  

The successful candidate will:

• Supervise and co-manage a classroom of 8-9 eager to learn and explore busy toddlers.  
• Ensure the safety of children through constant supervision in the classroom and outdoors
• Create an environment that promotes independence and yet encourages learning for these aspiring future world citizens
• Offer a family-centered program where each family’s priorities, concerns, and culture are incorporated into their child’s daily activities.
• Obtain or have a Boise City License and Pediatric CPR/1^st AID

Education and Experience

• A college Degree in Child Development (BA) or in a related field with at least 12 credits in Education.
• An Associated Degree in Child Development (AA) or related field with at least 12 credits in Education
• A child Development Associated (CDA) or willingness to get one after hire
• Willingness to learn and be coached with professional development related to group interaction and lesson planning.

In a nutshell, the ideal candidate demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently (as well as with support and guidance from their supervisor) toward identified goals and objectives. This candidate also thrives in a casual, yet fast-paced environment and has the ability to work and communicate with clients in a diverse environment, is excited about working as co-teacher, has a strong passion to teach kids, is committed to providing excellent educational opportunities for all children, and is interested in receiving ongoing coaching and guidance.
