Role

Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts. Communicates brand positioning through externally directed mass communications. Provides creative art for assigned advertising campaigns including print work such as newspaper ads, social ads, direct mail and collateral materials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Create concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Maintains, tracks and communicates the status of all print projects from initial assignments through design, revision, layout and pre-press via communication and workflow software.
• Plans and prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials. Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts. Assigned project work demonstrates a strong grasp of layout, color and typography.
• Ensure that all marketing materials meet compliance regulations as required for advertisements.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending local design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in approved professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably related to Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Design or similar degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with Mac, Adobe Creative Suite
• (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier) and Microsoft Office. A working knowledge of Video and Motion Graphics editing and HTML a plus, but not required.
• A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
