Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Performs all duties involved in generating new and repeat sales for the company. Responsible for increasing sales revenues and creating new customers through the use of personal sales calls, customer relationship building efforts and the generation of business development on behalf of Cole Instrument Corp.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Background in Manufacturing/Aerospace preferred
- Analyze potential markets to determine geographic and industry targets for company sales efforts.
- Plan schedule of sales activity to potential and current customers for optimum utilization of time and resources.
- Contact potential and current customers to determine current level of product need and/or potential need.
- Perform personal sales calls within assigned region or industry.
- Secure new orders from existing and potential customers by personal visits or by telephone.
- Conduct follow-up service calls to all accounts to make certain they are satisfied with all agreements reached during sales approach.
- Deal directly and in person with any problems that may occur on behalf of a customer account.
- Assist department in development of sales and marketing plans and strategies.
- Prepare periodic sales forecasts and other marketing reports in clear and easy to read format for submission to company executives.
- Provide lost-business reports on a weekly basis.
- Prepare agendas for formal sales meetings and where requested act as facilitator or moderator for sales meetings.
- Assure that visiting customers are received and attended in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Conduct all business transactions in a manner that coincides with the high ethical standards that the company maintains.
- Assist the Director, Marketing and Sales on special projects as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Maintain a business-like, professional appearance.
