Overview
- CVP is seeking an experienced Management Consulting Leader to support large programs focused on Innovation and Transformation within the Federal Health Sector.
- The Manager will work with the CVP team and federal healthcare clients to develop integrated project plans, and execute on delivery of projects that span capability areas. The Manager will provide delivery leadership, client relationship management and financial management expertise to the team. This leader will work with the CVP Team and federal clients to assist clients at a large federal agency in driving existing projects to completion as well as assisting with the planning phase of new projects. The professional in this role will manage communications, track deliverables, and hold clients and partners accountable, ensure we are on track to achieve major milestones, and communicate risk to client leadership.
- The Manager works closely with and supports federal agency clients in the planning and implementation of major organizational transformation initiatives. This leader will play a lead role in the development of deliverables to include, but not limited to, Project Management Artifacts, Risk Management, Performance Reporting Dashboards, Operating Models, Business Cases, Process Design and Cost Savings Recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to implement strategy and lead IT projects.
- Support the client in developing operational models to execute on the program vision.
- Anticipate client/project needs and develop alternative solutions.
- Develop formal project plans with schedules and manage work to allocated effort.
- Communicate risk to client leadership.
- Document project-specific processes and standards.
- Develop, maintain and manage senior client relationships.
- Manage delivery quality for cross functional delivery teams.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop performance measures, communications, content, and training in support of project implementation.
- Work with clients to review and develop guidance and policies that will facilitate understanding, adoption, and implementation of new processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Culture Builder, Team Builder and Leader.
- 6 – 10 years of professional experience (experience in health care, government service, project management, or consulting preferred).
- Experience and knowledge of consulting methodologies such as business process improvement, change management, project management, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across multiple areas.
- Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgement, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills and professional writing skills.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Public Trust Clearance.
- Ability to work without sponsorship in the US indefinitely.
Desired Skills
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration from an accredited university.
- Project Management Professional Certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
- 2+ years of experience working on complex team-based engagements in a consulting organization, government staff or support contractor.
- Familiarity with project management tools.
- Ability to gather and analyze data effectively.
- Ability to deliver in project settings that require a grasp of cross-functional subject matter.
- Ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to simplify complex ideas for non-experts to comprehend.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
