POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Graphic Designer will work with a small Marketing & Communications team to provide strategic and tactical support to the larger organization with digital and print materials that effectively reflect the company’s story.

Essential Functions:

• Creates graphic design and provides art direction for digital and printed pieces for all lines of business
• Conceptualize, design and produce a wide variety of marketing materials that support all lines of business (i.e. brochures, annual reports, benefit literature, newsletters, direct mail, signage, trade show displays, promotional materials, print/interactive advertising, print and electronic materials for various audiences, and corporate-wide letter modeling)
• Collaborates with external advertising agency and provides creative direction
• Designs and assists with updates to web pages across the organization, ensuring that web design complies with brand guidelines
• Develops user experience and interface design for websites and mobile apps
• Collaborates with IT/Development staff to ensure that web pages function as intended to provide optimal user experience
• Maintains graphic standards, including corporate signatures and logos
• Manages the brand integrity from a visual standpoint, including ensuring compliance with brand guidelines of the Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA)
• Provides/creates appropriate graphic/logo files to other areas of the organization upon request
• Participates in project management process for communications projects, including; preparing printing specs, delivering electronic files or camera-ready copy to printers/clients, and interacting with printers throughout the production process.
• Participates in vendor selection recommendations, based on cost and resource criteria
• Provides general design assistance for corporate presentations (i.e. create charts, graphs and other visual communications, and provide graphic design support as needed, for client and senior management presentations)
• Provide general corporate graphic design support, as needed, such as creation of PDF files, and revisions to corporate forms, stationery and business cards.
• Oversees and maintains upgrades to organizational websites
• Provide graphic design support and visual communications for special projects and programs, as needed
• Maintains historical records for advertising, public relations and communications programs
• Assists in development and coordination of visual components of event planning, as needed, in support of PR activities and programs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5-7 years of experience in graphic design for print and web, preferably in a corporate or agency environment
• A creative visual storyteller with excellent project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in the Following Required:

• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Adobe Dreamweaver and knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Constant Contact, Unbounce, Active Campaign
• Knowledge of Adobe Premier and/or After Effects a plus
