A financial services firm is currently seeking a Freelance Junior Graphic Designer. This is a part-time, hourly, remote position currently needed for a minimum of 15 hours a week. The hours per week may fluctuate. This person will report to the Graphic Designer and Head of Events.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use branded templates to create digital graphics that supports Events and other firm projects including emails, banners, invitation graphics, one-pagers, and other event related materials
Build and maintain event registration websites and surveys within the Cvent platform; work with Cvent to troubleshoot when necessary
Develop and coordinate with vendors on other event technologies such as mobile applications
Collaborate with our internal print department and external print company to produce high-quality event and marketing materials
Ensure consistency across branded materials
Maintain, update, and archive files to ensure the event folder stays up to date
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1–3 years of design experience
Degree in Graphic Design or a related field required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (Adobe Lightroom a plus)
Experience with Cvent (event registration platform) preferred but not necessary
Knowledge of MS Office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
Understanding of print production processes to ensure files are built with accuracy for printing
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Exceptional problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to constant changes as part of a team environment
Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage priorities under tight timelines
Must have a portfolio site, or a digital or physical portfolio of prior professional work or school projects that can be viewed at request
