To help us continue our commitment to making a real difference, we are currently looking for a Medical Records Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary:
Canterbury Houseis currently seeking an outstanding Medical Records Assistant to upload and gather medical records information using the the facility’s Electronic Health Records System.
Essential Functions:
- Confirms medical record information is protected and kept confidential.
- Verifies that health record information is filed accurately and appropriately to resident’s charts, overflow records, and discharge records.
- Identifies incomplete documentation (audits) and reports to individuals responsible for completion.
- Mails documents to Center physicians as required for appropriate signatures and timely notification.
- Manages time-frames for returned signed documentation.
- Maintains bound Master Admission & Discharge Register for admissions and discharges to and from the Center.
- Verifies information on master resident face sheet is completed.
- Verifies Medicare residents have timely certifications/re-certifications signed by the attending physician.
Education, Licensure, And Experience:
- Require: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Preferred: Experience with Point Click Care software
- Preferred: One-year experience as a medical records practitioner in a long-term care.
