Fairview Health Services Looking for Physician – Sports Medicine at Burnsville, MN Full Time

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Sports Medicine Physician to join a multispecialty practice at our M Health Fairview Orthopedics – Brooklyn Park and other metro locations.

M Health Fairview Orthopedics bring orthopedic and sports medicine specialists together to blend the best in conservative and surgical treatment for muscle, bone and joint problems. Work collaboratively and alongside general and sub-specialty orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists, medical spine (PM & R), neurosurgeons, pain management specialists, physical therapists, hand therapists, and athletic trainers.

Practice Details:

• Provide outpatient non-surgical orthopedics/ sports medicine care
• Patient encounters average 20-22 patients per day
• Physicians work collaboratively with a large network of both primary care and specialty physicians throughout the M Health Fairview Medical Group practice, including partners at the University of Minnesota, which includes many subspecialists through extensive outreach programs, which include: Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, Radiology, Neurology, ENT, Podiatry, Pain Medicine and many more.
• We have a full integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
• Opening: 0.3 FTE
• Physician will work an expectation of 12 patient contact hours per week
• 1 day per week at Brooklyn Park and for three Saturdays per month (4 hours per shift) in metro area
• Patients requiring hospitalization are admitted to the hospitalist service at M Health Fairview Hospitals

• BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
• Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges if applicable
