Summary:
The Graphic Designer will design creative material to increase brand awareness of the credit union and promote products and services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Graphic Designer will design creative material including mailers, print ads, flyers, brochures, posters, newsletters, statement ads, online ads and social media messages for all products and services.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and edit email marketing campaigns and have basic knowledge of HTML.
- Create and develop ideas, research and compose articles for website and publications.
- Assist with copy writing and media releases adhering to various style-books and journalism standards.
- Design marketing collateral and presentations for corporate and community events, and special projects.
- Utilize ad creation software to create animated ads.
- Collaborate with marketing team on creative/conceptual ideas.
- Assist with planning and coordination of marketing campaigns.
- Utilize web site management tools to place marketing content.
- Manage and maintain multiple projects at varying levels of completion.
- Proof and review all Creative Services Team projects and seek and receive business owner and compliance approval prior to implementation.
- Design, conceptualize and implement marketing materials while adhering to the Founders Brand and Style Guide.
- Prepare design files according to final output and know and understand how to abide by medium type specs.
- Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA. Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Specifications:
The Graphic Designer must possess creative design, copy writing and editing skills. Thorough knowledge of composition, layout, graphic design and printing processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must take initiative, work independently and be able to work with a variety of styles and technologies. Must be highly motivated, self-driven and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Multimedia experience preferred. Must be available Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm.
Requirements:
Must be proficient in graphic design and writing. Must be Mac proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver). Must utilize various other design programs including Bannersnack. Must be comfortable using the Internet as a delivery system for graphics, fonts, PDF files, etc. Bachelor degree in Design, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or Associates degree in Graphic Design is required. Design portfolios will be reviewed.
