GameStop’s Internal Communications and Associate Engagement department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Manager, Internal Communications.

Reporting to the Sr. Manger, Internal Communications, the person in this role will support the Corporate Communications departments objective to inform, engage and entertain our internal audiences/stakeholders while aligning messaging with business objectives and priorities. You will need to be able to combine creativity with organizational skills to manage numerous and varied projects to tight deadlines simultaneously. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Manage and execute integrated communications programs (i.e., presentations, internal memos, corporate videos, weekly newsletters, intranet) focused on business strategy, employee engagement initiatives, change management, HR communications and more
• Support the development of the companys internal communications tools and channels, helping implement best practices. Use feedback and measurement to ensure effectiveness and reach of internal communications
• Build and maintain relationships with a diverse set of internal stakeholders to increase visibility and improve the quality of communications throughout the organization with a rigor on communicating the right information to the right audience at the right time
• Use creative communications and storytelling methods to inspire and activate associates at all levels of the organization around a customer-centric culture
• Manage ongoing writing, editing and design work in support of employee communications, working closely with colleagues and other stakeholders
• Partner with colleagues and internal stakeholders to identify storytelling opportunities, develop communications plans and reach internal audiences
• Help drive a culture of recognition across our company, celebrating associates at every level in fun and innovative ways

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or Public Relations
• 5+ years of PR, internal, or executive communications experience
• Strong relationship building and management skills
• Excellent communications, writing, and project management skills
• Exceptional storytelling skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts into readily understandable language and engaging storylines.
• Candidates should have a proven track record of cross-group collaboration, the ability to influence executives, corporate and field teams, business maturity and grace under pressure.
• Passionate, results-driven and organized approach, with an attention to detail.
• A self-starter—with the ability to work independently and in ambiguous and changing environments—who can create and deliver communications plans, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively and driving to measurable results.
• Proficient organizational skills with the ability to work under high pressure and handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe CC Suite including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
• Demonstrated ability to model customer-focused behaviors leading to outstanding customer experiences
