- Graphic Designer (Charlotte, NC)*
- Position Overview: *
*Graphic Designer plays a critical role in the concept and implementation of Hayward’s packaging and graphic design. Creates graphics to meet a wide range of marketing communication needs, such as packaging, digital, displays, logos, and print material.*
- Location: *
*This position will be located at 615 South College St, Charlotte, NC (Uptown/Downtown) at the WeWorks building. Successful candidate will work onsite at this Charlotte location with our growing team! Possibly a “hybrid” work schedule to be approved by manager (alternating onsite and remote work during the week). Must live within a driving commute distance; U.S. working authorization is required (no sponsorship)*

- Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
- Create marketing materials including brochures, tri-folds, sell sheets, POP and various other communication materials that support current brand strategy
- Create packaging design concepts that support current brand strategy
- Write clear, concise design briefs that capture project objectives
- Coordinate projects with printer, ad agency, photographers and other vendors
- Assist in website design and concept, working closely with front end digital development team
- Work closely with outside creative brand agencies to support sales, HR and other Hayward departments for communication needs
- Keep current with emerging digital trends, software and design concepts and share innovations with Marketing Communications team
- Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products

Experience/Qualifications: *

- Must have 1 to 3 years graphic design experience creating branding, logo, and package design for in-house design department.
- Graphic design experience within a mid-size/large consumer products company or related manufacturing company is a plus.
- Must have strong understanding of prepress procedures; an expert in creating brochures, sell sheets, POP including die lines for a variety of products and designing packaging including blister package structure.
- Must have in depth knowledge of Photoshop specifically for color correction and retouching of products.
- Copywriting promotional and/or advertising experience is a plus.
- Must have expert skill set using Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Prepress
- Must have expertise in Adobe Creative Suite CS programs including but not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.
- Experience with animation.
- Must be proficient in MS Office software – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, & Project.
