Designs and illustrates the organization’s print and digital media. Maintains the images on the organization’s website. Ensures that all designed communications materials maintain organizational brand consistency.
Designs and develops organizational marketing communications tools, including brochures, newsletters, appeals, advertising, and collateral materials, and other media vehicles including video, signage, etc.
Works with outside print vendors. Coordinates graphic freelancers and professional services.
Provides design and technical support for the organization’s website.
Takes and directs photography to best portray organization and services.
Edits and archives photography.
Ensures that all organizational materials maintain organizational brand consistency.
Works with all departments to provide design support, providing creative insight and approaches for collateral and advertising.
Graphic design experience and art direction plus demonstrated skill required (three to five years of experience preferred in a professional setting).
Understanding of and commitment to the organization’s corporate identity standards and systems required.
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in the English language, and build positive relationships with agency constituents, including vendors, contracted design freelancers, photographers and others whose services may be required.
Able to read, proofread, write, create and design effective public communication vehicles.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
Computer experience required including word processing and other office computer programs; knowledge of both Mac and PC formats, and proficiency in WordPress and Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
Video editing and photography skills are encouraged, but not required.
Knowledge of website design is a plus, but not required.
Pre-press production knowledge required.
Flexibility in responding to shifting demands and interruptions in order to meet the needs of a fast-growing organization with many constituencies. Ability to work with others in a team and accept direction and critique.
