Description
- Develop pre-construction logistics plans & turnover reports to support superintendents.
- Identify and track long lead items.
- Oversee and make decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.
- Create & distribute project schedules, look a-heads, logistics plans, methods of procedure, and determine sequencing of work. Develop and execute recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
- Oversee work among assigned trades to promote coordinated project operations.
- Assist in the preparation of RFIs, providing recommended solutions for considerations.
- Tracks jobsite tools and equipment.
- Maintain the overall site safety program as required and ensure subcontractors comply with BIG standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations
- Prepare and distribute weekly construction reports.
- Complete & submit daily construction field reports.
- Communicate with owners and architects/engineers about field issues, as well as investigate and resolve such issues.
- Assist the project managers in the billing process as it relates to work on the site.
- Manage efficient and timely project close-out, including punch list completion, as-built review and attic stock demobilization.
- Supervise, mentor and train Field Engineers and/or Interns, as assigned.
- Manage multiple projects.
- 2+ years of construction experience
- Strong handle on subcontractor relations
- Scheduling and look-aheads on projects a must
- Safety as a priority
- Self storage construction preferred
- Excellent communication skills
