Our Story
Mobi is a cellphone service provider with current operations in Hawaii, we have a retail presence throughout the islands and have been operating as Hawaii’s largest locally based service provider since 2005. Under new ownership and funding, Mobi is looking to expand its presence into the entirety of the U.S. by adopting the latest in telecommunications technology coupled with user centric app development. Our team has extensive knowledge in the industry and has the vision and skills to make mobile what it should be. Mobi will embrace eSIM activation, and we’ll never lock people into contracts. We won’t dangle carrots with promotional pricing and all our customers will pay the same low rate.
Your impact
As a graphic/product designer for our small team, you will be a key player in all things related to user experience and design. Your impact will be immediate as you will be supporting all our visuals and branding across our app, website, print material, social media, store, and partner locations. Diversity, equity, and inclusion is at the heart of our brand and our mission – as such, you will exemplify these traits and carry forward inclusion and thoughtfulness for everyone when the pen hits the paper.
You will wear many hats in this role as we are in startup mode and do not have dedicated resources for various design roles (i.e UX, UI and graphic design). This is an amazing opportunity to implement the latest in Business-to-Consumer (B2C) driven design practices while working cross-functionally to accomplish something great.
Our product team is not one to stand in the way of great change, we will together look at the data and collect user stories, and as a team, we will work to push out the best solutions.
Our shared product goal is simple. To create a seamless, all inclusive experience for people to activate and maintain their cell phone service. We are at the forefront of innovation given how we are approaching this solution from a digital onboarding perspective and our future designer will be absolutely instrumental in helping us get there.
