Navistar has a contract position for a Graphic Designer with UX/ UI experience.
The position will be a hybrid work schedule.
Portfolio of professional design examples that can be shared to be considered
Responsibilities:
- Creative, out of the box thinker, ability to show creativity and be on trend within corporate guidelines
- Produces 2-D graphic design solutions for exterior and interior concept and production transportation projects adhering to brand identity
- Uses color, shapes, images, and fonts to create visual content for print and digital media
- Create static visual content for controls and interactive displays
- Develops vehicle branding, badges, and other 2-D related designs
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to gather requirements
- Utilizes specialized knowledge of the graphic design process, standards, and production requirements
- Use various ideation methods like brainstorming to solve the user’s needs to add value
- Showcase design ideas through sitemaps, storyboards, and process flows
- Adhere to style guide to ensure consistent design language is followed across the product
- Participate in user research
- Participate in usability testing to identify gaps in design to see if they can be further improved
- Strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
- Works well in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced environment
- Pays attention to details
- Extremely organized, ability to prioritize and multitask
Additional Requirements:
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, environmental graphic design, information design, communication design or similar
- Strong familiarity with all core design applications, traditional typographic and art techniques and any other related material or production
- Strong conceptual layout and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator with CAD tools, Photoshop), Microsoft Suite
- Familiar with Figma or other UI software to create functional mockups/storyboarding or wireframes
