Job Summary
The OSSG (ONTAP Software & Storage group) Product Team is responsible for building, managing, and launching NetApp’s core storage and data management products. The team builds the foundational product capabilities behind NetApp’s flagship product ONTAP and is at the forefront of driving a transformational journey at NetApp by accelerating innovation across NetApp’s hybrid cloud portfolio (Public, Private & On Prem).
NetApp’s OSSG team is looking for a Director of Product and Business Operations Transformation with the main charter to improve operational efficiencies by creating, documenting, and helping to operationalize business processes across the core business to maximize our customer’s productivity while creating a culture of accountability and transparency. The mission is to simplify NetApp’s core operations and remove barriers to execution for internal/external stakeholders.
This is a key leadership position in the OSSG reporting to the VP, Product Management.
This role provides active direction to achieve OSSG’s product strategy through a variety of means including, but not limited to – advising on strategic opportunities and alignment, ensuring superior operational delivery for product initiatives, transformation process management activities such as establishing a modern and agile PLC (Product Lifecycle) process, driving cohesive roadmaps across core and cloud, standardizing and driving AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and MBRs/QBRs (Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews); market and competitive research/benchmarking, special projects, and driving cross-functional execution.
As a leader of the Product and Business Operations Transformation team, you will be responsible for building a global Center of Excellence strategy for the OSSG to establish continual automated services, workflows, and tools. The role will be responsible for removing repetitive tasks, improving operational efficiency, and reducing operational debt across data, technology, and operations.
The Director will lead of a team of Program Managers in a cross functional role to build automated services throughout the organization and will have oversight to activities across different products.
You will work closely with senior leadership in the planning, evaluation, and selection of the right opportunities to remove operational debt across the enterprise and bridge the gap between the business, data, tech, and operations teams to ensure automated services run smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you’ll report back to executive management on the success of the program and its status, helping to confirm the vision’s success and tie with broader transformational efforts.
