Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse- NYU Langone Medical Associates- Parchogue.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for using own clinical experience to plan the delivery of safe, therapeutic, & age appropriate patient care via planning, implementation & evaluation over a scope of practice. With the patient and family central to the care, the LPN incorporates the unique characteristics and needs of each patient and family member into the care delivery process. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Health team to promote wellness and optimizes patient outcomes. Performs multiple clinical and clerical duties as required. Complies with established policies, procedures, rules and regulations as they pertain to the Hospital as well as federal state and local regulations. Diligently observe all HIPPA guidelines. Performs all other duties as it relates to specialty.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED. Technical Diploma Graduate of a licensed practical school of nursing. Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse. 1 – 2 years Recent medical/surgical Hospital experience or 1 year experience in a Home Health agency. Excellent communication skills (both oral & written), interpersonal, and organization skills. Basic Computer Knowledge. Demonstrates critical thinking skills to problem solve. Evaluate the physical, social, and psychological status of patients of all ages employing interviewing and physical and psychosocial assessment skills..
Required Licenses: LPN, LPN
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
