Our Assistant Teachers support the Teachers and Director by building a positive and safe learning environment for children, promoting activities that improve the quality of education and childcare, and assisting with the development and implementation of curriculum. The Assistant Teacher has the opportunity to help activate a quality, nurturing educational program and foster meaningful, lasting relationships with children and their parents. This position is responsible for maintaining a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement as well as following all center policies and state regulations. The pay is $11 per hour.
What You’ll Do:
- Create developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and the Director
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children
- Actively engage in activities and lead all aspects of cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials
- Maintain frequent communications with lead teacher and administration through informal discussions
- Promote self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling
- Ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center

What We Need from You:
- High School diploma
- Must clear full background check and pass health screening
- Completed 40 hours of training and/or CDA is a plus
