An orthopedic nurse spends time encouraging patients to increase their mobility, educates about how to protect their joint and bone health, and implements strategies to minimize their pain and complications.
About this unit:
- 36 bed Ortho/Neuro/Trauma unit.
- All RNs NIH certified.
- Level II Trauma that sees average of 900 patients per month.
- Flexible scheduling!
Responsibilities:
- Under the general direction of the Nursing Director or Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.
- Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards.
Qualifications
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of
practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and
regulation. BLS required upon hire required. - Minimum one year prior Registered Nurse/RN experience required. Previous clinical experience in area of specialty preferred.
