Premier Press is seeking a Graphic Designer – 3D Modeling and Production that is passionate about graphic design, 3D modeling, and rendering to join our growing creative team in Portland Oregon.

In this role, you will mainly be responsible for creating 3D models and renderings to support our environmental and packaging projects. You’ll collaborate on ideation and help breathe life into the creative team’s concept sketches that help provide the visualizations to sell through work with clients. You will work in a collaborative design team and be well versed in industry standard 3D modeling software and tools. Good spatial skills and a well-honed sense of color and design will help you succeed in this job..

In addition to your 3D design responsibilities, you will also work with the rest of the creative team on production graphic design projects. We do an extensive range of work in traditional print, packaging, environments, and retail spaces. Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work with our internal team to understand client project needs
• Develop concepts and 3D models based on the project scope
• Follow design guidelines, asset naming conventions, and other technical constraints
• Adjust models and renderings based on feedback from team members and clients
• Work collaboratively with fellow design team members to execute projects on time
• Keep abreast with the latest developments in 3D design, capture and modeling tools and technologies
• Additional design projects could include, but are not limited to the development of print, packaging, 3D retail initiatives, event signage, logo systems, large format graphics, video, and collateral materials.

JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS:

• Quick sketching / Hand rendering/ ideation
• Digital rendering / illustration (Procreate / Sketch app)
• 3D modeling and rendering
• Proficiency in graphic design and building of creative decks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers, and operations.
• Strong time management, critical thinking, monitoring, organization, coordination, independent judgment, decision-making skills, and process improvement skills.
• Able to work independently and prioritize daily project and design deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, Industrial Design or related field or equivalent
• 5+ years of progressive experience as a 3D Designer
• Adobe Creative Suite expertise
• 3D modeling and rendering software (Specifically Sketchup/Vray).
• C4D, 3ds Max, Solidworks proficiency a plus
• A portfolio or portfolio link is required to be considered for this position
