Prescient Technologies Hiring for Senior Graphic Designer Job at Washington, DC Full Time

Prescient Technologies is seeking a highly experienced and effective Senior Graphic Designer to support the Office of Research and Development (ORD) at several EPA locations in and around the D.C. Metro area. The position is expected to be both in person in and around D.C. and remote; as there are multiple locations needing support Nationwide.

Due to the complex nature of the projects, and the sensitivity of the systems being updated, the Senior Graphic Designer is required to ensure accomplishment of mission-critical goals and the timely execution of graphics and design projects.

The responsibilities of the Graphic Designer will include, but are not limited to:

• Produces graphic art and visual materials that conform to all standards.
• Performs graphic design plans and illustrates scientific material in accordance with expectations.
• Executes projects as well as coordinating and scheduling production of projects.
• Executes training of proper graphical equipment use.
• Responsible for operation and set up of computer graphic systems.
• Generates, manipulates, and integrates graphic images, animations, sound, text and video generated with automated tools into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs.
• Analyzes new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.
• Ensures successful completion of all assigned tasks.
• Plans and leads major, as well as daily assignments.
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Adobe Creative Suites including DreamWeaver, Acrobat InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Creative Suite CS4, Creative Suite CS5, Creative Suite CS6, Acrobat Pro X and DC, Premiere, Adobe LiveCycle ES2, Fireworks, PDF Creator, Distiller 10, Reader 9 Installer
• Ability to plan and organize tasks, establish and meet deadlines and create acceptable work products independent of supervision;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to handle complex projects requiring considerable creativity and judgment to resolve design problems;
• Ability to assist in making decisions in situations where standard design and/or methods, procedures and techniques may not be applicable;
• Ability to supervise others as needed to ensure project completion;

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in graphic design.
• Must demonstrate a superior capability to organize and manage multi-disciplined project tasks and possess a high level of expertise in performing technical tasks.
