Fashion Industry Leader seeking a Fashion Graphic Designer

Responsible for creating commercially viable graphic designs for a mid-high-volume category/collection. Researches and interprets fashion trends and consumer needs that uphold the integrity of the product lines/brand. Ensures graphics are commercialized with the factories that meet designs aesthetic vision within price parameters, sourcing strategy, quality standards, and delivery requirements Demonstrates a passion for the brand, inspires individuals and relies on leadership skills to plan and accomplish goals. Demonstrates and fosters a total graphics team dynamic of support and collaboration.

Must have experience in fashion graphics and working with vendors

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create brand-right, commercial graphic designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy.
• Execute all graphic spec packs to ensure they are valid and viable for each region while preserving design aesthetic and meeting business objectives of speed, scalability and margin.
• Drive/Support innovation in graphic techniques seasonally. Identifies roadblocks and creates action plan to address
• Collaborate and communicate with key partners throughout the design process including Merchandising, Design, and Product Development. to execute overarching graphic direction that ties into the seasonal concept presentations.
• Expert in brand positioning and direct the use of graphic assets, reviewing opportunities and successes with trend relevance.
• Actively leverage resources in sourcing new ideas, both internally and externally and contribute to ongoing competitor research/trend analysis.
• Conduct competitive and aspirational shopping to ensure is at forefront of graphic innovation.
• Mentor and support junior design talent to contribute to the success of the Graphics team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years graphic design experience in a related field (product graphics preferred).
• Ability to teach, mentor and motivate team to drive results.
• Exceptional graphic design ability with a proven history of commercially successful graphics.
• Knowledge of product development processes and calendars (understands how graphic development impacts the product development process through commercialization and applies knowledge to ensure business objectives are achieved).
• Ensure cross functional communication is appropriate and timely in order to avoid delivery, price, or quality issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent computer skills – Adobe CS Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign Microsoft Office. Some knowledge of Web PDM or FLEX PLM

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 – $47.00 per hour

Schedule:
