The Enterprise Innovation Manager is instrumental in taking new ideas and cultivating them into positive outcomes.  Innovation Managers help create a culture of innovation and are instrumental in shaping the processes needed for forward movement across the Enterprise. 

Responsibilities

• Shephard Leadership / SMEs / Owners / Vendors in the identification of business needs, storylines and development of problem statements, business rules, measurements for strategic initiatives
• Identify necessary feedback types, formulate Discovery and Requirement gathering plans; structure critical customer requirements for transition to delivery
• Oversee the creation of internal and external customer feedback sessions and oversee the execution of design components of an assigned strategic initiative
• Assist Leadership with building business case and preparing for capital committee i.e., high level schedule, high level scope, vendor estimates/internal estimates, impact analysis and requirements management plan
• Drive alignment and drive outputs of strategic imperatives; serve as the “Voice of the Business” on large scale programs and projects
• Create partnerships with key leaders and stakeholders throughout the Enterprise to identify SMEs and customers (Digital, Solution Delivery, Infrastructure & Ops leaders)
• Work with technical Directors to product technical diagrams and systems impacts that will feed into the project plan; transition project artifacts to assigned Project Manager to complete the delivery phase
• Oversee some administrative functions relating to budget vs. actuals, project timelines and resource allocation using tools such as Quick base, Project Timeline, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Box, Jira, etc.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training
• Project Management Institution (PMI) certification or similar certification preferred
• 8+ years’ experience in a combination of business systems development, general business, and project management; and
• Demonstrated experience with SDLC, Lean Six Sigma, TQM, ITIL, etc.
• A proven track record of managing complex Programs across business units
• Experience in gaining group consensus and prioritization
• Excellent relationship-building across IT and business units and manage internal politics and buy-in
• Strategic focused w/the ability to operate at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work with a brief list of assumptions and support Sponsor’s to drive initiatives
• Willingness to take the first steps to inspire others to follow and deep dive into new domains
• Optimistic, strategically-minded and generally curious about areas impacted by new systems, new processes and customer behaviors
• Strong technical aptitude
