Department Details

This position will be in-house on location for integration within our design team and process. Looking for 32-40 hours per week to start.

Job Summary

Creates marketing communication solutions by conception, designing and producing print materials ntern/intranet publications and other visual media that effectively target specific patent segments and create strong relationships with patents and the public, supporting the brand image. Produces various collateral, including advertisements, newsletters, brochures, forms, posters and other related projects for Sanford. Possesses strong graphic, design knowledge, and demonstrate creativity in applying it. Exhibits outstanding skills in designated software. Displays thorough understanding and knowledge of the metaphors, archetypes and attributes of the Sanford brand. Communicates effectively to a variety of clients.

Exhibits the ability to organize and achieve quality work in the creative team. Collaborates with design teams in the evolution and production of an idea or design, and transforms it into visual presentations that communicate to a target audience. Demonstrates strong organizational skills in order to prioritize multiple requests. Possesses flexibility and understanding of time management, practicing it efficiently on a daily basis.

Displays effective verbal and written communication skills, effective team relationships and understands interdependent skill needs. Possesses vision and values compatible with the organization. Embraces systems thinking. Manages change skillfully. Understands a systems approach to problem solving and process improvement-involving staff. Remains knowledgeable on computer hardware and software and/or equipment advancements. Remains skillful in printing and graphics.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree required, preferably from an accredited institution in graphic design, commercial art, industrial illustration, fine arts or a related field.

Two years graphic design experience required, preferably in an agency or corporate setting.

Possess computer skills and proficiency in all aspects of computer-based graphic design including the ability to effectively and creatively utilize programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, QuarkXPress and Illustrator as well as remaining up-to-date on changes to similar programs in the graphic design industry.

Experience in digital photography and output, scanning, archiving, HTML/web site design, layout, printing production, phone manipulation, color, typestyles, composition and illustration preferred.
