Sekon Hiring for CDC Graphic Designer – REMOTE Job at Atlanta, GA Full Time

SeKON has an opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our talented and innovative team supporting the Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support (CSTLTS) within the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). Due to COVID-19, this role will be 100% remote for the foreseeable future. CSTLTS was created specifically to support health departments – the nation’s front line of public health. The mission of CSTLTS is to improve community health outcomes by strengthening state, tribal, local, and territorial health (STLT) agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide graphic design support to CSTLTS for digital and print mediums (web, intranet, social media, mobile, SharePoint, posters, print publications, etc.)
• Work with vector and raster/bitmap image formats, and shall design and refine fact sheets, posters, brochures, banners, templates, exhibits, charts, and a variety of other graphic elements.
• Design/create products that complement existing templates and other graphic elements using the following platforms and tools: Adobe graphic design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, and others.
• Consider such concepts as likely human interaction scenarios, target audience perceptions, consistent color schemes, ease of use, accessibility compliance, and user device types (from larger desktop computer screens to tablets to smaller mobile device screens).
• Secure or develop necessary images and may be required to provide photographic services as required to support CSTLTS products.
• Craft professional video products using primary and secondary video sources.
• Work collaboratively with CSTLTS staff and across CDC to respond to requests, understand requirements, and meet defined business objectives.
• Must implement closed captions and audio descriptions for video production and editing.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Able to obtain a security clearance – public trust
• Flexible and adaptive, with the ability to quickly change course and use multiple technologies to achieve required outcomes
• Able to proactively manage multiple communications paths to ensure content is compliant and obtain content owner approval/acceptance for the product
• Experience with social media, metadata, tagging, and search a plus
