Sterilite Corporation Looking for Occupational Health Nurse at Davenport, IA Full Time

The Occupational Health Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the overall health and safety programs in the Sterilite Davenport facility. Provides first aid services for individuals that are injured or become ill at the facility and actively manages all worker’s compensation and short-term disability cases. Develops and implements employee programs such as health education, accident prevention, wellness and the OSHA and Sterilite required safety training programs.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provides direct care for the treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses using established medical protocols and refer for further evaluation or treatment as necessary.
• Collaborates with local and SHO management to further the objectives of the Sterilite health and safety programs.
• Actively manages all worker’s compensation and short term disability cases which includes the initial processing of documents, consulting with insurance carriers and medical providers while continually monitoring the employee’s recovery process in an effort to accelerate the return to work process and reduce costs.

Requirements:

• RN Preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
