Synerfac Technical Staffing Hiring for Graphic Artist Job at Rocky Mount, VA Full Time

Our client, a leading flexible packaging company, is seeking a Graphic Artist to join their team at their Rocky Mount, VA. In this position, you will be responsible for creating accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high quality basic to intermediate level Artwork, effectively using industry standard software, tools, and Prepress and Print techniques.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Formulate, measure and match colors for designated printing presses based on production schedule.
• Use spectro and customer-supplied color standards. Add or reduce bases and solvents to meet customer specifications.
• Meets quality standards at all times for all assigned deliverables and makes recommendations to Management for improvements in reports, tools, processes and assigned tasks.
• Performs assigned tasks within the overall Production workflow according to: Work order specifications, Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP”s), our client’s high quality standards, and their client’s Brand guidelines and standards.
• Establishes high quality standards for all Production processes, workflows and client deliverables.
• Ensures high quality standards in all production client deliverables.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in flexographic printing
• Basic understanding of effective Print, Photo, and/or Digital production, processes, roles, tools (digital and workflow practices
• Experience with Esko Automation Engine, DeskPak, and ArtPro+
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities
• Basic to proficient in photo and color manipulation techniques and processes such as: Color separations, Color conversion (e.g. RGB-CMYK ) and correction, Profiling (e.g. Press), Trapping and bleeding of imagery
• Basic to proficient in Pre-press and Print production techniques and processes such as: Color separation pertaining to specific printers, Trapping, Bleeding, Stepping, Color rotation, File resolution, Raster Image Processing (RIP)
• Basic to proficient Computer Software (SW) Skills: Apple Mac equipment and operating systems, Overall Business (e.g. MS-Office Suite), Specific Functional (e.g. Abode Design Suite, Acrobat; Project Management Software)
