GRAPHIC MEDIA DESIGNER
12 MONTH CONTRACT (40 hours a week)
The Graphic Media Design Team supports our client’s course development and course maintenance by creating and refining layouts of interactive presentations (using multi-media and course authoring tools) as well as training manuals, photographs, illustrations, animations, and other visual assets for the company’s educational content. The Associate, Graphic Media Designer will follow developed standard operating procedures, using style and branding guidelines to aid in consistent branding and the customer experience in completed content.
Associates Degree in Graphic Design or related field required
- 1-2 years of Graphic Design experience are required, internships count!
- Graphic design experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- General understanding of digital rights management guidelines.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.- Willingness to learn Adobe Captivate*
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Digital asset production
- Develops and refines/edits new and existing photographs, illustrations, animations, and other visual assets for use in educational content. Will use photography gear (camera, studio or portable lighting) to capture or create a required visual product.
- May work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to set up area and/or props for a photoshoot.
- Collaborates with Instructional Designer by attending course kickoff meetings, trials, and media awareness meetings, and uses a digital asset list (DAL) to convey ideas back and forth.
- Works with authoring tools (such as Adobe Captivate, this is a nice to have) and multimedia to create interactivity and place text, graphics, design, and interactive elements into course presentations.
- Assists in developing and testing classroom props, simulators, and other training aids.
- Prepares final layout or graphics by using spell check, testing, and reviewing and/or proofreading all work for accuracy and formatting consistency as outlined in the product development and branding guidelines.
- Ensures that all completed projects contain original graphics, animation, photographs, and use of any third-party materials follows all proper digital rights management guidelines.
- Uses and/or creates style templates to arrange electronic or printed material to maintain consistency of products.
- Uses Digital Asset Management System and file server system to properly store and catalog all assets and project files.
