Universal Beauty Products Hiring for Graphic Designer Job at Glendale Heights, IL Full Time

Support all Universal Beauty Products brands with engaging graphics that grab the attention of our consumers. The Graphic Designer will be involved in the entire process of visualizing and creating graphics to include collateral, web sites, social media, advertising, point-of-purchase displays, packaging, labels and photos.

Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. You need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. You will work closely with the graphics, social media and brand teams in the execution of all brand-building activities.

Your photography skills are an added advantage to assist in the complete design integration. While not mandatory, having experience in product photography, as well as limited people photography, is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-engagement content that reflects the voices of our brands

• Study design briefs and determine requirements

• Meet project deadlines

• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements

• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand

• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic

• Work with Creative Director, marketing and brand teams to produce final design

• Work with Marketing Department, creating beautiful (brands) packaging, digital ads and publications

• Test graphics across various media

• Amend designs after feedback

• Collaborate with graphics, brand, and social media teams to develop a variety of marketing materials

• Self-starter and motivation to tackle new challenges that may not have a set blueprint

• Passion for learning, tolerance for risk and openness working with multiple brands to multiple ethnic and cultural audiences.

• Have a jobs-to-be-done mindset to balance multiple demands

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or similar

• 3-5 years’ experience in producing collateral, web/social graphics, advertising, video editing, packaging and photography for print and digital

• Extensive knowledge of Creative Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro and In Design

• Proficiency with Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office software

• Communication skills, Creative flare along with passion for design
