RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proficient with the Macintosh computer utilizing InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Senior graphic designers manage an entire branding or marketing campaign, not just the production of specific pieces, and demonstrate an ability to work within established deadlines
• Strong, conceptual thinker who possesses a wide range of design capabilities including a solid background in print, packaging, branding, typography, catalog production, retail graphics and also some web design experience
• Must have creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense
• Must have confidence, to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues.
• Clarify the client’s goals for the work. Advise the client on how to reach the intended audience and pitch their ideas for doing so.
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in design.
• Demonstrates specialized knowledge of methods and techniques of graphic design and layout.
• Has higher-level executive and client interaction skills.
• is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion.
• Partners with the Marketing Team to develop creative that can be measured against the defined strategies
• Ensures that the creative shapes a consistent brand image and meets the brand expectations
• Develops, in concert with the Copywriters and Designers, breakthrough concepts and designs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ensures the professional and technical development of team
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Ability to work independently on strategic issues with client, capable of managing fairly complex projects
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• All basic designing needs including logos, collateral, packaging, flyers, brochures, environmental graphics, magazines, corporate identity, from concept to completion through InDesign
• Ability to work with speed and efficiency to meet (sometimes tight) deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively, brainstorm and articulate graphics ideas with team members and Market Managers
• Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor under high-pressure deadlines
• 5+ years minimum working within a design firm or other creative team environment. 10+ years preferred
• Possess solid presentation, listening and communication skills
• Open and receptive to design critique
• Resourceful: Able to problem solve and find multiple design solutions, especially under narrow parameters or strict budget restraints
• Self-driven, proactive and a team player
• Must take pride in their work and be passionate about design
• Will not be considered without first seeing samples of work either in an online portfolio or an attached PDF
